Welcome

We welcome Father Joseph Bergin as our parish priest. Father Joe retired from full time ministry in the diocese in 2007, having been rector at St Mark the Evangelist Church in Syracuse for several years.  He also ministered in Newfoundland, Canada, and as a Roman Catholic priest in Ireland and in the West Indies.

Every one of us is on a spiritual journey. From the cradle to the grave, each of us is seeking God, whether we use the word "God" or not. At Christ Church, you are invited to ask the hard questions in a safe space, where you will be accepted for who you are. You will be asked to contribute to the life of the parish in whatever way you can, and your contribution will be honored.

Our mission statement:
Christ Church is a small Episcopal parish (Anglican Communion) on the Erie Canal in Jordan, NY. We seek and serve God in our communities, we are open to families and persons of all orientations and walks of life and we intentionally practice Christianity. Our goal is to pass on to all generations the faith we have received.
